The Toys Take Over Christmas
1998

I took over as one of the toy soldiers mid run of this cute show. I recall learning the role by videotape in one night and having one put in the next day before doing it in front of an audience later that morning. It was thrilling to work at that level of pressure.

Little Red Riding Hood

1999

I played Ollie Owl in this fun telling of the classic tale. It was the first time I had a latex mask made of my face. It was a gorgeous mask, but I remember having a hot, sweaty, sticky, rashy face from it every show. All 3 of the children's shows here were directed by Chesley Krohn, who I worked with numerous times. I love working with her.

Shakespeare's R&J
2000

I was Student 3 in this incredible deconstruction of the classic play. I played Mercutio, Lady Capulet, the Friar, and others. It was an incredible time crafting this piece with director, Rob Bundy, and the other actors. I grew so much as an actor on this piece.

The Firebird

2000

I love doing World Premieres. I played Sasha (a servant) and the Crab. It was a blast, but it was a ton of work for me and Doris Davis, who played my partner in crime (as the female servant and the Lobster). Doing more than one show a day left us in a daze. Without each other, we wouldn't have known where we were in the show at times as there was so much happening. There were days when we became delirious and giddy. Nothing can ever beat the dress rehearsal where she accidentally clipped off one of her lobster eyeballs with her claw.

Doris is one of a few actors that I have done multiple shows with and would be happy performing with over and over again. She's one of those people I would trust with my life onstage and off.
