The Message
Board is an 8-part web series about Broadway
Universe, a theatre web site where different people can come together
to chat about Broadway, divas, cabarets, chorus boys, politics, internet
addiction, gay marriage, religion, sex, suicide and anything that crosses
their minds. Perhaps that ranting theatre queen or Wicked-obsessed
teen will become your new BFF or your next worst enemy? Maybe that anonymous,
alleged "hot chorus boy" will become the love of your life?
You'll never know until you log in. Chat! Debate! Have a meltdown! LOL!

Scot
Wisniewski (WWRD) was born and raised in Auburn, NY. Although
he believes his musical training began when his mother sang to him in
the womb, his actual training began with piano lessons at age 5, and shortly
thereafter, clarinet lessons at age 8. Throughout his entire life, Scot
has been involved in the performing arts. He has appeared in many
regional theater productions, including Fiddler on The Roof, Annie,
The Hobbit, Brigadoon, The Sound of Music, and Oklahoma!
just to name a few. Scot always knew that he wanted to live in NYC and
perform in cabaret clubs and on Broadway. Just two weeks after graduating
from Keuka College in 2000, Scot immediately packed his bags and moved
to NYC. To get himself noticed Scot started singing at various cabaret
clubs during open mic nights. In 2002, Scot had his first cabaret show,
The Beginning, at Don't Tell Mama. The show ran for three months
to sell out crowds and stellar reviews. A triumph for a debut show! In
the winter of 2002, Scot released his first CD, A Classic Christmas,
on Independent Records. The CD features ten beloved Christmas songs. For
his second recording, Broadway, Scot's Way, which was released
in 2006, he sings twelve of his favorite show-tunes. Both albums are available
via many online retailers including Amazon.com, CDBaby.com, Apple iTunes
and at stores nationwide. In addition to singing, Scot has kept busy in
many other areas of the entertainment industry. He has landed roles in
independent and feature films, done commercial print modeling and also
has been very active in the voice-over industry. (A voice-over demo is
available upon request) In the winter of 2008, Scot returned to the legendary
NYC cabaret club Dont Tell Mama for his second one-man cabaret show
titled Its Time. The show ran for two months to sell out
crowds. An all new show is planned for fall 2009. In February 2009, Scot
made his Broadway debut in Marc Shaimans musical Prop 8
at the Defying Inequality benefit concert at the Gershwin theater. Scot
is a proud member of Actors Equity Association (AEA) and The American
Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA). For more information
on Scot and his exciting career, simply visit his website: www.scotw.com. |
